To start building your credit, get a student credit card or a secured card. It's strange that you are getting declined...most people, the moment they turn 18 start getting credit card offers and are able to get one if they have a job. Did you default on utility payment? Do you pay for a car? That can get reported to credit agencies. Find out what's going on with your credit. You can get a credit report for free once a year.

There are beginner type credit cards for those with 'no credit', assuming that is the case with you.

And stop applying for random credit cards. Do your research and find out what they look for and apply for those you have a chance with. Multiple inquires by lending agents into your credit actually HURT your credit.Personal credit advice? ?
With tons of online apps you might be hurting your credit because they pull your credit. The credit markets are really tight right now and even people with good, established, credit are getting their applications turned away.

Your best shot is going to be Circuit City.

It's none of my business but I bought a really nice Insignia TV from Best Buy. It's a 26'; flat panel, which is pretty large, and it ran about $400. Granted $900 and change will get you a 47'; - 50'; Insignia. I think I spent about $800 on my Westinghouse 37'; about 2 years ago. All three TVs are fantastic but the Westinghouse I got is really something. Either way, it's your call, but you might be able to put some decent money down and get a less expensive TV and still get financing.
The first place that I got credit from was Capital one (Credit card). I was declined by them and a ton of other places for years. Make sure you don't go over 3-4 apps a year because each one gets reported to your credit report each time. That will hurt you in the long run. You will be lucky to get more then 300-750 limit on anything right now......You can use a co-signer on a credit card.
Where do you work?

How long have you worked there?

How much do you make a month.

What other bills do you have to pay.
