My two best friends now have boyfriends. They are always ';double dating';, whether it's the movies, mall, or bowling. This has been going on for about two months and I'm starting to feel really left out. Whenever I suggest just us girls hang out, it seems like they always have an excuse. Advice?! What should I do?!Personal/friend advice?
They're in the ';boyfriend zone.'; They're letting their entire lives revolve around their boyfriends. A lot of young women make the mistake of abdicating their identities and abandoning their friends to spend all their time with ';mr. wonderful.'; It's not smart and it's not healthy.
You have been dumped by these girls.
Find some other people do do things with. They aren't your ';best friends'; and you don't have the shared history that you have with the other two girls, but it will be someone to hang out with and not make you feel so left out.
At some point one or both of these couples will break up. You'll have to decide at that point whether you wish to continue an intimate friendship with the girls.
